Fiona’s Story . . .

Fiona before her transformation“Before I joined Jo’s JM fitness classes,  I felt uncomfortable, lacking in confidence, tired, achy, unfit and generally unhappy! I’d recently changed my job and felt like I needed to get back the happy and energetic old me!

cartoon weighing scalesI was looking forward to getting started as I’d seen the fantastic results my friend Lesley had achieved from attending the classes. I was a little bit worried about getting on the scales, whether I’d be able to do the exercise and whether I’d be able to stick with the plan . . .

I’m given real nutritional advice . . .

“I needn’t have worried though, as Jo has been such a motivation throughout. She keeps things simple, but is informative and provides a great workout if not sometimes a little painful! 😉

woman binge eatingI’d previously attempted other slimming groups, but felt the advice was very faddy – on the Slimming World plan, I was able to eat mountains of food because it was ‘free’, so I didn’t really curb my appetite. At JM Fitness, I’ve been given real nutritional advice which not only benefits fat-loss, but my health too!Avocado is a magnesium rich food

These are a few of my favourite things . . .

“I now enjoy 3 of my favourite things; avocado’s, olive oil and nuts without them being forbidden from my diet. I have learnt to eat in moderation following a low calorie regime, and to not only watch the fat content but to also watch out for the ‘of which sugars’ too! I still love wine, chocolate and bread but just a lot less of it!  😀

The best thing . . !

“The best thing that’s happened since joining is I had the confidence to apply to BA as cabin crew which I’ve always wanted to do, and I’m so excited that I got in! I’m also really chuffed to be able to walk into any shop and find clothes that actually fit!Fiona with her medal

I’ve been training for the London to Brighton bike ride, and can happily say that I completed all 54 miles of it! I had to walk up one of the hills as it was impossible to cycle, red bicyclebut it was still a huge achievement as it was a lot steeper and longer than I ever imagined – all-in-all, it was a great day and I felt fantastic at the end of it!

I’m really looking forward to continuing on my journey to a happier, healthier me!”
