Cheryl’s Story . . .

Cheryl before she lost over 4 stone“Before I joined the Body Transformation Boot Camp, I was tired all the time and felt constantly guilty about not being able to run around with my children.

Cartoon sofaI would run up the garden and then have to sit down for ages to recover – making constant excuses why we needed to go inside . . . just so I could crash-out on the sofa!

Not only was I feeling bad for my children, but I was so unhappy with the way I looked . . . None of my clothes fit, and on mornings I had to take the children to school, it was a choice between the ‘tent-like’ maternity wear, or squeezing into an outfit which was so small, I felt ashamed to be seen in it!”

Things had to change!!!

Cheryl before her transformation“In my effort to lose weight, I started a severely restrictive diet, and although I did lose some weight, the problem was that it made me feel more tired than ever.restrictive diet

On the one hand, I was happy to be smaller, but on the other it did not solve my main priority which was to be active with my children and set them a good example.

So, when I saw the advert for the JM Fitness boot camp, I immediately decided to take the plunge and got myself signed up! Jo ran a free ‘trial week’ in the first week, so I thought; ‘what have I got to lose?’

Because I knew how desperately unfit I was, at first I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to do any of the workouts, and I would feel really uncomfortable and out of place. But nonetheless, I decided I had to try – after all, the first week was free!Purple cartoon trainers

So, I bought a pair of tracksuit bottoms and trainers from e-bay, and on the first morning I squeezed into a top and set off expecting to look and feel out of place. Perfect bodyI soon realised with a sigh of relief that this just wasn’t the case at all. There were others in a similar position to myself, and everyone was really friendly and welcoming.

In truth, I did find the workouts quite hard work in the first week, but Jo and the other ladies were so supportive, giving me help and encouragement throughout the week, that I managed to get through it, and as time went on, I found the sessions became easier, the fitter I got – and I really started to look forward to and enjoy them!”
